Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting

09 October 2007

I.                    Call to order: The regular meeting of the Trustee and Advisory Board was held on 09 October 2007 at the Geneva Public Library. The meeting was called to order by Chair person Alton Powell at 5 p.m.

II.                  Roll Call: Present were – Alton Powell, Virginia Clemmons, Donnell Smith, Ben Davis, Brenda Jordan, Nell Johnson, Atz Fleming, Wylie Brannon, Alice Davis, Floree Farrar. Absent were: Philip Carter, Ann Owens.

III.                Minutes of the regular September 11th meeting were read. Minutes were approved. Motion: Nell Johnson. Second: Atz Fleming.

IV.               The financial report was reviewed. Motion to approve the financial report: Virginia Clemmons. Second: Wylie Brannon.

V.                 Librarian's report on operations read and reviewed.

VI.               There were comments from board members:

1.                 The librarian was asked about the Senior Aide program. The librarian stated it was very nice to have Amy Smith here during the months of June – September.

2.                 It was suggested to have a book sale during the month of December on a Saturday.

VII.             Unfinished Business: No report.

VIII.           New business: None

IX.               Other business: None

X.                 No members of the public were present.

XI.               The regular Geneva Public Library board meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m. Motion to Adjourn: Atz Fleming. Second: Alice Davis.
